I am finding conflicting information on if I can use the web portal on Dish's website to view 922 programming overseas (Germany). What's the real deal?

Dish offers international programming. But, the 922 will not work very far outside of the US, it has to receive a signal from one of Dish Network's satellite, so parts of Mexico and Canada, but not Europe.

Is the Dish German package web page.

The OP is asking if he can sling to the 922 from Germany not if he can take it with and use it there.

I would think as long as you have a broadband connection at your destination it will work.

I think he is wanting to sling content from his 922 to Germany via the web. I dont have a 922 so I can't answer on its capabilities.

edit: oops Guess I type too slow, beaten to it.

I have connected to my dish dvr thru my slingbox solo from the jamaica mexico and the dominican republic so 922 should work. Dish should not see the ip as you are connexting thru your home router and home ips.

I have a friend in Italy and I sent him the login web page address, he can go on line and "see" the page. Now do I want to send him my login and password to see if he can see my 922? Hum is this like exposing yourself to the world and hoping for the best? Yep kind of.
