I've been trying to find information on verizon fios other than what the verizon web sites have on them. Was hoping there would be a verizon fios forum on here even though this is primarily a site dedicated to dish and directv and the like. Any thoughts?

Verizon has been installing a ton of FIOS in my town recently. There was a stink in the news concerning the fact that they were removing the old copper wires to the house when they did so. Once the FIOS was installed, they have the customer by the short hairs. Unlike copper, Verizon does not have to let another carrier use their lines. Also, if the resident (or future homeowner) ever wanted to go back, the copper wires would have to be reinstalled.
