So he's going to miss at least 3 seasons (including this one)... hopefully the state charges add on top and he never plays again.

Can he obtain the passport or pass legal requirement to work in Canada after a federal conviction?
As disgusting as it was, I am willing to bet that after he does all his time, if it is within 3 years...there WILL be an NFL team that gives him a shot, if he stays relatively in shape.
I am actually surprised he got 23 months, I was expecting 12-15 months. One thing I haven't heard is anything about the possibilty of parole.

Now don't take this the wrong way, I am no Vick supporter, In fact I think he is scum.
But isn't there a law stating you can not be tried as a criminal for the same crime twice? It doesn't quite sit right with me that the state and feds can both charge him and try him for the same crime.

He broke both federal and state laws, hence why he can be tried in both federal and state courts.
You're thinking of double jeopardy, where someone who isn't found guilty of a crime cannot be tried again for the same crime.

I understand that, but isn't he being charged witht the exact same crimes in the state and federal courts? Seems like double jeopardy to me.
