Is it possible to record Radio/TV programs using the Viewsat Ultra VS2000 or
do I need to run the receiver through another recording device (CDR) ?

Thanks
Chymas

It has no recording capability, I had one for awhile. A standalone dvr or dvd-recorder will work just fine.

Thank's for the reply,
A buddy told me that he used to record via the usb port.
He apparently had another model or brand name.
I now know what need,I am thinking DVDR with the usb recording option.

you can use any dvd recorder with the vs ultra but only using it audio video outputs into the dvd recorder

some fta boxes can record to usb flash drives or external hard drives but the vs ultra isn't one of them.
Future shop has the Toshiba Dr-7 for $130. That's what I use with my VS ultra. record to a dvd-rw over adnd over like a pvr. If I want to keep something I pop the DVD in my computer to rip&edit it to my hard drive
