Good afternoon. Can a VIP 622 accommodate two (2) HDTV's? If so, how much extra does it cost?

I currently have just one HDTV and one standard TV connected to the receiver...but with prices dropping as they are, I might be looking at a second high definition TV.

I have tried to discuss this with the folks at Dish but they don't seem to understand my question.

Thanks so much.

You cannot hook up the second set as TV2 and see something independent of TV 1. This si because all of the TV2 outputs are SD. You could hook up one set as TV1 through HDMI and the other with component. they would see the same thing but both would have HD feeds.

You can hook up two hdtv to your 622. One with component and the other to the hdmi input. Some of these other guys on here can tell you exactly how it can be done. You will however have to watch the same programs on the same hdtv(tv 1).

I had the same problem. 2 HD TV's and only one 622. My solution. I got a second 622. They play nice together too through the power wires so I only need one connected to the phone line. Best part was the 2nd 622 was an upgrade from an 811 and my bill didn't change at all.
