OK I am probably the least technical guy down here, but all I know is I Dished up one of my recievers after buying another HDTV and now if I turn on both receivers at the same time, they both flip to searching for Signal. The antenna/dish is a Dish 500.

Can anyone help me out?

That sounds like both receivers are seeing the same port on the switch and interfering with each other.

Each receiver must have it's own cable from the switch, no splitters allowed.

and...if you want hd you need more than a dish 500.
You're correct.
It sounds like there is a splitter in the wiring.
Doubtful. Splitters will rarely allow enough signal to pass through if only one is turned on. Depends on the situation but I doubt anyone used a splitter.
Wont I have to pay for them to come out though if it is something with my wiring

You did DIU. If you're within 90 days of that installation you'll be 0$ TC. If you messed with the system yourself, you'll get charged. :) hope this helps

I'm still sticking by my splitter theory. I've seen too many splitters used as barrels (customer mod) and the system was still working. I've also seen when customers tried to add a receiver using a splitter and having similar results as the OP.

Now we just need the OP to come back with more info...
