VIP 622 versus VIP 625

I'm still pretty new to Dish network and satellite TV in general. I currently have a ViP 622 and ViP 625 in two different places in the house. I'm wondering if there should be a significant difference in their ability to tune signals during a storm. While I'm (unfortunately) well aware that weather can have a negative impact on reception, what I'm noticing is that the 625 loses reception significantly sooner than the 622. This is kind of annoying and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do or does the 622 just have a better or more sensitive tuner? Is there any chance that requesting a replacement 625 would help?

First off, there is NO VIP 625. I do own a Dish DVR 625 however. During the last couple of software updates, I have noticed the same thing. The 625 will lose signal earlier than it used to.

Hopefully that is fixed soon.

Is there anything that can be done in the meantime? Would it help if I called tech support?
