VIP722 in "Test Mode"

Hello.

I have had 5 or 6 Dish receivers in Test Mode.
When I call A CSR to find out if there is a way to get it out of "test mode" I am told NO it needs to be RAed. Is this true? Can Test mode be reset or is it a foul up at dish when they do a referb?

If I remember correctly, you can restore factory defaults on the receiver, then reset and it should be out of test mode.

I know there's another way to do it, just waiting on a reply

**EDIT** The other way is to press menu-recall

They usually pull up normal after the initial download and activation but have had a couple that needed a good hard reset. I have not had to RA any yet because of it.

I have had a couple of those in the past.. I did a reset to factory defaults and they worked.. When I called in to CSR about the first one.. They told me to RA it also..

All RA's should go to Dr Dish now, and they definitely should know how to fix it without RA'ing.
