I have a Von Weise 24" actuator that is badly rusted. Does anyone have disassembly instructions/pictures that help me bring it back to life?

after i cleaned mine up ( of rust ) it rusted up again
if i read correctly it was coated with a special coating , Zinc i think so once you clean it , it will probably rust up again .... unless you paint it with something ( haven't found anything yet) but looking toward something like brass lacquer or staybryte type of spray on paint.

one thing that needs grease is the acme nut/bushing thats inside the arm shaft. so once its apart.... grease it up good.

how to wire actuator

My dogs pulled the power off my actuator. can anyone tell me how I can reconnect the 4 or 5 wires??? its a von weise model v76-5??:(

on a model v76-5
ok the block starting from the magnet wheel

little green , little orange , big white , big red

the big white , big red can be reversed and it will go in the other direction
so if big white , big red get you west when you press the east button then reversing them will get east when you press east button.

hope this helps
