Meanwhile, in <st1:country-region w:st="on">Ecuador</st1:country-region>, Maritza’s business is doing well – so well, in fact, that her lender decides to travel to <st1:place w:st="on">South America</st1:place> to witness Maritza’s success, resulting in an emotional meeting for both entrepreneurs. In the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Dominican Republic</st1:place></st1:country-region>, however, Betania is forced to pawn her possessions in order to cover her loan payments. Little does she know that one of her lenders, Omar Minaya, is also in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Dominican Republic</st1:country-region></st1:place> scouting players for the Mets. While there, Minaya meets Betania and visits her home and business. Betania is overjoyed to have someone so important interested in her life and Minaya is reminded how Betania’s life isn’t so different from the one he used to know. <o:p></o:p>

Back in the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Dominican Republic</st1:place></st1:country-region>, viewers learn whether or not Betania has met her goals and managed to succeed against her competition. In <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Mexico</st1:place></st1:country-region>, when Juana’s money comes through, she begins working immediately, keen to sell as much as possible on her next trip to the market. Unbeknownst to her, however, her supporters are planning a visit to see for themselves the impact of their donations. Back in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:State>, at a fundraiser to celebrate the Dominican spirit of the Mets and to support Esperanza International, Minaya makes a donation of his own money to kick start donations from other wealthy New Yorkers.<o:p></o:p>

Back in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Mexico</st1:place></st1:country-region>, Juana’s health is deteriorating, while her group struggles to make their loan repayments. In <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Honduras</st1:place></st1:country-region>, Marlene and her fellow borrowers have opened their tortilla-making and clothing trade businesses with great success, and are eager to take out additional loans to further grow their businesses. <o:p></o:p>

Finally, in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Bangladesh</st1:place></st1:country-region>, viewers meet Grameen Bank founder Professor Muhammad Yunus and borrower Taslima Begum, two 2006 Nobel Peace Prize recipients emblematic of the success of microfinance.
