I absolutely love it, after you get the update press "Voom" and the green button once, then select "quick settings" or something like that, and turn it on

It doesn't work till you turn it on

But anyway it displays in the upper left corner of my screen, caller name and number

and YES the reciever HAS to be plugged into a phone line

I was wondering why mine wasn't working. I didn't know you had to turn it on first (and I couldn't find a setting for it). Thanks a lot.
 
Yes. In my area there is a fee; about 5$ a month. (It is really a fee
for turning on equipment already connected to your house, but,
capitalism...)

The FSK code is sent between the first and second ring.

Question, probably dumb.
Do you need to have caller id through the phone company already set up?
