I haven't see this feature in any HD STB but it would be cool:
Let user specify what to do with each resolution, rather than have the box
output at a fixed or "native" rez.
E.g., I'd like the voom box to do this:
1080i->1080i (pass thru)
720p->1080i
480p->480p (pass thru)
480i->480p
reason is my set can't handle 720p so "native" doesn't work, and I'd rather
have 480i converted to 480p rather than 1080i b/c it seems to look better that
way, plus I have more options for stretch mode.
hope that makes sense.
