Somedishguy- This is some dish customer. Since you are the expert, can you explain how a CSR can do as they claimed then, that is, when I asked specifically for the 722k, I got what I asked for and it showed up specifically in my account file as a 722 and as a 722K?
I've been reading this forum a long time, been employed with the company a good while, and I learn a lot here, but I get really, really tired of the misinformation that is perpetuated here. I also get tired of the complete bashing of the Dish CSRs. There are plenty that aren't very good at the job yet, but the blanket painting of them as incompetent is sad.
I can understand why you would be upset with people, customers who complain about our experience with Dish CSR's but rather than call us wrong, how about you as an expert do something constructive about it. There is a logical explanation why we customers have all sorts of methods to getting what we want to order. It due to employees like you who have this attitude that you do nothing wrong when you send out the wrong product from what was ordered, then another employee can
magically seem to do everything correct ( from the customer's perspective). I'm just a customer and a Dish stock trader too but it seems to me that there are huge inconsistencies in how the policies are executed at Dish, especially in this area where a request for an exchange product is made. So the simple question remains- How can one CSR pleasantly claim they can set up the order and send you exactly what you requested, while you and other CSR's claim that is not possible? More importantly, why should I, as a customer, care how you manage the request on your computer or walk the request through manually, as long as I get what I requested? As a stock holder, I would hope that Dish Management can weed out those employees with poor attitudes that just want to put their time in and don't care about the customer and replace them with those like the last one who made a commitment to get it done right and then follow through.
Just to prove to you that I am completely truthful, here is an excerpt from the e-mail I got within minutes of the commitment of the CSR who did specify the 722k. I redacted some personal numbers for my security..

Note that not only can the CSR specify the correct item I requested, they can also give me in advance the R#. How they did that in of no concern to me. I just like that they did and don't like it when they claim they can't and don't.
So as a customer, I can say my purpose here is not to defend the Dish Network Company, but rather to do what we do here at Satelliteguys and that is help others with problems. I offered what
worked for me. If you don't like it, then fix the problems your system creates for it's customers as it would be better spent time than coming here and telling me what I did is wrong.
