probably because the webhost is verifying stuff, and fixing as they go along.

It seems to be getting better, as the caches get heated up again.

We were supposed to have 16. They only gave us 4. We had to request the additional ones to be made available to us.

The reason we segment the site and sub sites is so in the future if we want to move a part of the site (such as the ads server software or the chat server)) it can be done by copying the account to the new box using Cpanel and making a DNS change.

It keeps things a lot cleaner.

the issue was an old box @the webhost that 'came back to life' with some stuff there, that had used
our IP's.

That's been fixed.

there was a filesystem full issue on /tmp. I fixed that and then needed to fix the post table in MySQL.

I too can tell the performance difference. Response is much faster. Cool.
