Very true.

It really is very nice integration of the active features of the receivers. Essentially transparent to the viewer as long as it was on the channel a couple minutes before the 8 mintue local mark, so that the active content can load.

Plus it's nice for the weather warnings for your zip code that pop up when issued.

You don't have to click "select" like they force you on E* version of the Weather Channel to get your forecast? If not, that is pretty impressive for satellite.

Nope, it comes up automatically. All you need to do it be tuned to TWC a minute or two before the Locals on the 8's is due to so the application can load in the background.

this is cool news, but it doesn't really matter for me. if the weather is really bad outside, I can't tune the channel anyway :p
