Weatherscan by The Weather Channel

I came across this offering by the Weather Channel:

Perhaps this could be an easier solution to the Local on the 8's localization issues on E*? E* can, for example put Weatherscan for NYC area on its locals spotbeam for NY and include it with a particular area's local channels package.

Or E* could just carry the local weather channels provided by local affiliates (NBC Weather Plus, Accuweather (usually on ABC stations), etc.) on digital subchannels.

And they could compress the other channels a little to make room for it or compress the heck out of those channels so that it does not take up much space.

i second puttin a dedicated LOCAL weather/radar channel on the LOCAL package
