I'm a current DirecTV customer, and since I'm out of contract, I'm thinking of switching to Dish or re-signing up with DirecTV, in order to take advantage of promotions...

Anyway, I have eight receivers currently (large family), and I would like to keep serving eight TVs with whichever of the two I go with.

I've been using the online configuring tools for both services, but I can't find what they charge per month for the additional TVs beyond four or six.

My needs aren't anything that spectacular, really. I'll probably end up with a basic (100-, 150-channel) package, with local channels, and maybe a few basic HD channels. I could use one HD receiver, and then anything like a DVR would simply be a bonus, and is not needed.

So I guess the main thing I'm wondering about is the differences between the two when it coms to additional TVs. Since neither lists a price (that I can find) for more than four or six TVs, I have a hard time comparing the two.

If you have any insight, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
