I just got Direct tv.. and so far I like it... when i first got it ,,, I had the channels like CBSw, NBCw, CWe, Abcw, etc... you know like watching oprah, I even taped Oprah on friday while at work and then came home to watch it... Now I don't have any of those channels anymore, Why would I have them if not offered in my area as local channels then taken away......

what is your zip code? likely you have a DMA that offers local affiliates and these DNS services were on by accident and then properly removed; by law.

call them up. Looks like you're in a market where locals are coming soon but in the mean time they do legally give you distants until locals come.

Based on what I see that zip should only get Eastern DNS services; thee is not local affiliate offered by DirecTV. Maybe a pro can verify that.

They are available to you thru D*, but not in HD where your at.
Once they saw that your locals were available to you thru the satellite they shut off the National ones.

those arent his locals....those are the national feeds...see the -NY after the net

They're in MPEG4 so they probably are in HD but not noted properly on the site

Your right, I didn't notice the NY after them.
