i had a guy offer me a fiberglass 8 or 9 ft dish and a receiver called a wilson microwave receiver sm 1000 or something and a antanna position box, a remote even and told me just come pick it up? anyone ever heard of this receiver?

Its probably a Wilson YM-1000 if my memory serves correctly. That is what my parents had way back in 1982-1984 when we got a c-band dish. Very basic, you tuned the skew and all by hand. It worked well, just all manual.
