I was looking at my signal strength meters. It shows satellites 101, 99c, 99s,103s,103ca,103cb, and swm.

since there are only 3 orbital locations there, does that mean I only have the 3 lnb? Chicago market if that matters

yep you have the SWM 3LNB...I have the same thing here in Minneapolis

If it was the SWM 5 LNB there would be a 110 & 119 option too

Thanks Iceberg. Is the 5 only for locals in certain areas?

Like Jimbo said, there isn't much on 110, but 119 still has a lot of local sd channels and one or two spanish hd channels. Your sd locals are on 101.

Theres really not much on the 110 and 119 sats anymore, a few more music channels ...international I think.

Your locals will all be on the 99, 101 or 103 now if your talking HD.

Yes, I am talking HD

The only time I'd see someone getting a 5LNB slimline
-they have added the Spanish programming package (there is a 30 channel package that can be added for $15)
-you want HD but D* doesnt have your locals in HD and SD is on 119 (my old market, Duluth MN is like that)
-you DIY
-the installer wants SWM setup and has no SWM3 LNB's ;)

Thanks for the info Ice. Another one of those learn something new everyday things.
