What sats should you receive?

I'm new here and I see references to viewing area and subscription type determining what satellites you should receive. That being said, my thinking is that one would point their dish to receive ALL sats and then the configuration of the receiver would determine what was viewable. In other words. I'm only seeing 2 sats 110 and 119. despite my best efforts I cannot receive a 129 signal. Now is this because my subscription plan doesn't include any channels that use that sat, and Dish therefore disables that LNA/channel in my receiver? If that's the case I would think I'd just peak my 119 signal using a transponder at or above 11 and call it a day. Am I correct?

129 no longer exists on Dish. Its 110 & 119 or 61.5 & 72.7

129 was a weak sat 119 and 110 are stronger less rain fade

I used 129 for all the years it was in existence. Yes, its signal was less than its partners but I never had rain fade on it when I didn’t on the others.
