I'm thinking of taking the plunge into FTA and was wondering what size dish I need.
I'm in Boston, Ma and want to have a motorized dish.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Best to get as big a dish as you can get,1m would be good. I use a 36" dish here in MN with great success!

30" is the minimum for FTA!

i go a 30 inch in mississippi i wish i would have bought a 36 inch. but have good luck with the 30 on good clear days.

Good advice. I was given the same when I started out,
and wish that I had listened. However, There's a big disparity in the price of shipping after 36 inches (for some reason).

Good Luck!

Dish size

Along with a 30 inch dish, the invacom quad lnb will help you with signal quality.
I would suggest that with either dish size you decide.

I would suggest either a 40X30 Primestar dish (biggest of the 3 they make) or a meter dish. I've had problems (feeds that don't stay locked/missed feeds) with dishes smaller than that.
