Just ordered Directv and need to know what to look for on install when it comes to the dish. I ran across this thread where support arms were not installed....

Due to home owners association the dish will not be installed on roof. Does anyone have a pic of what good install should look like?

If your getting a Slimline or SWiM dish installed and it is on a roof or side of house it should have support poles.
If it's on a pole mount, obviously you can't do that.

Where do you think the dish will be installed?
If you own your home, the HOA can't prevent you from installing the dish wherever it's needed for good reception. It's against FCC rules. There are limitations to exclusive use areas if you're in a condo.

We need more details.
