WHAT'S WITH THE NETWORK '01' STARTING & ENDING TIMES?

This has gotten to be a total pain in the a** for recording shows. Especially for me because I only have a 2 tuner DVR. There are a couple nights a week when there are 3 shows we like to watch on at the same time. The only saving grace is that one of those nights the 3rd show is on TNT. And they offer later showings that I can record while we watch one and record the other. The only reason I can figure from this scheduling is that they are trying to keep you from changing channels. What do you all think?
 
yup thats exactly what they are doing....figure you can't switch the channel and now you missed the 1st smidge of a different program
 
Thank goodness for the HOPPER & Prime time anytime recording 4 networks at the same time.:D
