I am looking to put up a dish in the Portland, OR area for DiecTV High Def programming. I am getting the HR22 IRD. There is a lot more dishes than back in the day. Which one do I want in this area to get everything. There are Portland locals on the programming.

i noticed that there is also a sl5. It has the 119 and 110. is there any programming on those anymore?

If you are upgrading to HD, why not get DirecTv to install the correct dish free of charge?

I'm just a DIY type of guy.

BTW - The new antennas are awesome! It took me all of about 15 minutes to set up the slimline. I went with the 5 lnb swm. I put all the settings right where they are supposed to be, azmuth, elevation, and tilt. Nailed it right off the bat!

You are very lucky or you have problems and don't know it. A 5LNB wit SWM in less than 15 minutes.

I don't have problems, I do know, But;

I did lie about the install!! I used a non swm lnb to peak, then put on the swm 5:)

I feel more lucky than anything.

The tricky part is getting a good signal on 99c and 103c by dithering 101. I guess one could get lucky, however. What transponder levels do you see on those sats?

Boy, I am feeling more and more lucky after hearing from you guys:rolleyes: On 101 Im seeing low to mid 90's, 99c mid 80's, 103c mid to high 80's.
