That doesn't mean you're going to get the satisfaction you want. I've done a lot better dealing with sellers on Ebay than I have local dealers. Just my personal experience. YMMV

No it doesn't. However, I can be very persuasive. An anonymous on-line seller can duck and dodge. A retailer can't run away.
I am batting 1.000 when it comes to returning defective or non-usable merchandise. That settles it for me.
Call me cynical but quite frankly, I have read far too many horror stories about on-line purchasing venues like ebay which have reduced my trust factor to about nil.

Wel,l I've had local retailers not take back items no matter how much of a fuss I've made. I've yet to have an Ebay seller not fix a wrong in about 300 or so buys. My experience has been the opposite of yours. You just have to do online buying right, research sellers and know who you are buing from and it's just as safe as buying in-store.
