Why no Superstation Package??

The superstation package from Dish are 5 channels that used to be a mix of local UPN and WB channels. Now that those two networks are blended together, of the 5 channels, three are CW and 2 are independent (I think). They are:

KTLA (From Los Angeles )

WPIX (From New York )

KWGN (From Denver )

WSBK (From Boston )

WWOR (From New York )

No he didn't, WGN is not part of the Dish Superstation package. It is available in on it's own in certain AT packages.

OOPS!! You forgot WGN (Chicago) Ch. 239

WGN is NOT in the SS pkg, nor is it considered a SS anymore, just as TBS is not.

WGN & TBS are both considered "cable" stations now.
The prog on WGN is "altered" from it's off-air counterpart, so as not to conflict with syndex-exclusivity of any local stations.

Actually, WWOR is a MYTV affiliate, while WSBK is now independent.

Sorry, it is not semantics - he listed the correct stations in the superstation package. WGN is not part of it, and you will not receive WGN if you subscribe to the Superstation package. Also WSBK is at 8775 as it shows, though it is at 236 as you say also. My quote was copied directly from the Dish site.
As Dishrich points out, WGN is now a cable station, not considered a superstation anymore.(Meaning it is available on most if not all cable carriers now, while those superstations are usually only carried locally, except for Dish carrying them in the superstation package) Our cable company actually dropped WSBK when it was designated a superstation years ago while they continue to carry two other Boston stations even though they are out of market. (They are SV) They also dropped WWOR around the same time.

At the time they dropped WSBK it still carried a majority of the Red Sox games. It was a hugh deal here and there were many articles talking about the change in status of WSBK as being the reason it was dropped.
