Wil extending the length of the coaxial cable degrade the quality of the video?

I'm running the coaxial cable that connects to a receiver through a wall and the cable is too short so I am getting an adapter to connect to the end of the cable and then I am running another cable to extend the length of the two satellite cables. Does doing this degrade the quality of the video going to the receiver and the TV?

it should not if you are using 3ghz couplers and total footage from dish to box is under 150'
