I have had a beta "windows 7 ultimate evaluation build 7100" running on my mac mini in boot camp since last year, knowing it would expire at some point. I have been getting pop ups about it not being a genuine copy since the first of june, they ask if I want to buy an update or ask me later. My question is how long can I expect this evaluation copy to work? It's not a full edition and I don't really need it since I have a retail XP disc. I only use it for a few things like phone tools and seagate utilities that don't have a mac version but I don't want to install xp with all the updates, drivers, etc... unless I have no other choice. I can put up with the nags since I only use it about 1 or 2 times a month. I like it because it looks nice but that's about it for me. Anybody know for sure if and when it won't work?
