Wireless Joey or other option for new tv in sunroom

We converted our screened porch to a sunroom, so there is not a physical cable connection there. We got our cheap 43 inch Onn Roku tv out of the basement and put it in the sunroom.

We like our live tv - Been a dish customer for 12 years and signed a 2 year contract last year. What's the best way to get a dish signal
to this tv, a wireless Joey? How much more is that per month, $7?

How about buying an Amazon Firestick and downloading the dish anywhere app to that and no fee? Any suggestions?

you could have them do a hardwired joey. or if your concerned about saving the 7.00 a month the the fire stick is the way to go you'll still have access to the hopper also. you can watch live tv and drv recordings with dish anywhere

this is what i am thinking. not only can they use it in the sunroom but take it with them on vacations plug it into an HDMI port on the motel t.v. and have access to there programming and dvr recordings

we added on a sun room a year or so ago. I added another wireless joey, then went to the wireless joey 4, but then returned to the original wireless joey.
Didn't like the fact that the wireless joey 4 did not have caller id, as we still have a land line.

we paid 29.99 for our 4K fire stick.. just download the dish anywhere app to it and enter your log in info and poof you have your tv and dvr!!!

Keep in mind that, using the Firestick, you will not get the greatest picture on DishAnywhere. It is not just the Firestick, it is also with the AppleTV 4K. DA takes programming from your Hopper and sends it out over the internet and then that data is downloaded to the Firestick. Programming that is streamed looked quite good by comparison.

For me the best receiver I have in my house is the Wireless Joey.

While I mainly use it for "my tv" in the bedroom (My wife has a 65 inch, I have a 32 inch)

However when I am doing stuff around the house I can take that TV and receiver with me and watch anywhere. There are also times I take it outside and hook it to a projector and I have an inflatable screen and use it to watch the fights outside with friends.

And because it has Android TV built in, I can also watch non dish stuff on it such as I did to watch stuff on peacock.

we use our wireless joey in the outdoor kitchen by the pool then take it back in so that it don't get destroyed by weather... as the installer did have concerns about it getting damaged by weather when we wanted a hard wired joey outside. we do the same thing with our roku's for sunday ticket

as far as cost per month we were told by a rep a leased joey is $7.00 per month and an owned joey was $5.00 per month

the issue with an apple t.v. is it costs as much as an owned wireless joey not saying it's bad or anything. apple t.v's are great

Had a wireless joey 4 but didn't like the fact that it didn't have caller id. We still have land line and like that feature. Took a lot of calls and discussion to get it because I stil have hws

I can. PQ is just like a wired Joey. Mine is located about 20' from AP. You have to jump through an additional screen hoop to get to settings which is no big deal. As Scott said, it has Android which is nice, but I never use it. I BOUGHT it because I could not stand the lag the old, 2nd. gen WJ I had. This one is "Johnny On The Spot". The only thing I have noticed lately are occasional top right screen messages about losing/connecting-to internet (500 mbps wireless in my case) since last update. But that is for the Android streamer, not the WJ/AP. Same thing happens with Android on my Sony TV. Thank goodness I use Apple TV or Roku. Also, if you are using a Harmony remote, several buttons/commands will not work, and it can't be trained to do so. You'll need the 54.0 remote.
