World's largest steerable dish

I was just reading an article in Air & Space about how scientists are studying the surface of the moon using a VERY LARGE steerable dish, the size of a football field.

I bet they have no problem picking up any bird in the sky!

I was once called out to peak a 30 foor polar mounted Ku dish for Muslim Television of America. I declined the job. I told them that there is no way they needed a dish that big for their application, that a properly installed and peaked dish of ten to 12 feet in diameter should provide them with 100% reo[liabilty, and that the aiming of the 30' dish they had was so demanding that if I lost the aim while trying to peak it, I might never get it back.
