WTF DISH (another HDRSN RANT!)

Ok so I set my dvr to record the HD version of the Chicago Whitesox home opener this afternoon on comcast sports net HD on the HD channel. I specifically set the DVR to record on the HD channel! Did it record on that channel, Nope! I got the SD version instead

I can honestly say of the hundreds of Center Ice games I've recorded, I've never had this happen.

I've recorded hours of nothing because the timer was set to record before the the HD feed was kicked in, and I've recorded hours of the Dish RSN HD slate because the game was never aired on the HD channel. I've never, in the 3 years I've had with my 722, had it record the SD channel instead.

What receiver and firmware version are you running?

It was nice for about thirty seconds I got programming off of the Dish RSN HD channel following the Wings/Hawks games, it was much better watching with the grey RSN bars on the HD feed channel

Yeah, that's another point to have them HD 24/7...Even if a game is broadcast in SD, it's still better watching the HD channel then the regular SD channel.
