WTH!!! I cant order porn in NC?!?

1) Hooters and Porn have no place in the same conversation. I frequently Visit Hooters with my wife and 11 year old son. In fact 6 of my sons 11 birthdays have been celabrated at Hooter. I would never let my 11 year old watch porn. The average High School cheerleader is showing more skin than a Hooters waitress.
2) I do not understand Alabama and Porn laws at all. I live in the Birmingham area and I can say they are at least a half dozen Adult Video stores where you can rent and or buy Porn DVDs. I am not talking about someone selling off there back porch. These are professional business that have business licenses, pay taxes, have phone numbers listed in the yellow pages under adult books, and are on main streets in clear view. If this is OK which it apparently is why in the world can I not purchase porn viewing from Dish Network?

2) I'm sure those store owners love that law. Kind of like here in Georgia. On Sundays you can't buy alcohol in a store, but you can get drunk off your butt in any bar or restaurant. Restaurant & bar owners love that bogus "moral" law.

Ha! What you don't know is that preachers are the biggest consumer's of it. I was shocked when I first started. Back in the primestar days we would have to swap out their boxes for them so nobody would know. Do as I say, not as I do, as it were. Then there are the pentecostal preachers who aren't supposed to have tv at all, according to their chosen religion. That'll take your respect for them down a few pegs, especially when you are related to some pentecostals who abide their religion, rather than picking and choosing which customs to follow.

1. Porn is fithy and unclean, and thy Lord as thy shepard let thee be raised up... huh, no altar boys either? BLASPHEMY!!!!!

2. You have to appreciate the irony of seperating from England to abolish religous and social persecution, only to then do it to yourselves a few hundred years later.

3. In Utah (obvious reasons) it's illegal to teach about contraception in sexual education classes in high schools. Only abstinence can be taught.

Actually, Hooters started in the south.. in Florida to be specific.

That was my immediate thought too (The original Hooters is like 20 minutes from me), but then it dawned on me that he was probably referring to the "bible belt" south of which Florida isn't a part of. I guess we are too far south for such ridiculous laws.

I was in a GA resort in September, and they had ridiculous rules on Alcohol.

Actually, come to think of it, it used to be you couldn't buy hard alcohol on Sundays or beer and wine until 1PM here in Pinellas County, FL... but that has changed.

Ever heard of a "baptist wall?" It is a wall next to a liquor store, prevalent in eastern NC. Its purpose is to allow upstanding citizens, commonly southern baptists, to park and enter the store without being seen from the road. Allowing their closet sins to remain so. I imagine they have similar structures for adult video/book stores as well.

All you need is a "baptist dish," and you'll be set.

This must only apply to Broadcast Porn - NC is home to one of the nation's Largest Porn companies (headquarter's in Hillsborough, NC) and they can snail mail porn in NC....

Tennessee also does not allow hardcore mivies we also have a blackout of these channels.

Someone mentioned ITVN the only problem I can see with that is a big buffer right before the $$$$$ shot.

It has to do with the religious christonazis hold on the state. I agree if someone wants to buy porn they should be able to. This is why you should lobby and push for any and all legislation that would either ban religion or put a gag on religion to keep it out of peoples lives.
