Several years ago I rescued this antenna from the metal recycling container in town. At the time I thought it might be useful someday. It measures 130cm long with 5 elements that are 62cm long. The way the u-bolt bracket was installed, it was previously mounted vertically.

Think it might be suitable for some future amateur radio use?

It looks like possibly a yagi of for 220.
Are all the elements the same length...they shouldn't be.

I took a closer look and sure enough the elements are different.

The longest is 67cm and spaced 30cm to the fed one at 62.5, 60, 59, 58.
The remaining elements are 26.5cm apart.

I have monitored the amateur 1.25 band locally and have heard very little when searching on my scanner. I didn't think it was worthwhile to purchase a radio at this time to cover it but I'm sure I'll have one that does sooner or later.

Yeah, sad but most areas are dead on 220. Most of this is the fact that it is hard find a commercial radio with 220 built in for so many years.
That is starting to change but very slowly. 220 is a great band. Almost has the distance that 2 meters has and less crowded.

6,meters 10 element beems stacked 3ft apart side by side
150ft,run of rg8u,flat swr1.1,the ham guys that got me in to it
Could not believe it n1,,,with a 150wot amp.
