Yes, the Fire Stick (Amazon) has a lot of live streaming services. There are also apps like Pluto and STIRR that have them too.

Just to reiterate, is the combination of app and subscription that determines whether you get the live channels. The hardware has little or nothing to do with it. I can watch live HBO channels on my Roku with the Prime Video app and an HBO subscription, or in a web browser on my computer.

Directv Now allows the recording of HBO. And they offer HBO for $5 a month.

Is that super new? A couple on months ago you could not cloud record HBO with Directv Now. Only linked you to on demand content which did not immediately include live shows.

Its pretty new. I think they made the change in December.
