Using USALS to find "True South"

Ok I have setup my dish and motor and got 90% using 12143 V 2573 (AMC-6 as a true south (KU) satellite).

But when I mover the dish I get no fix on any other Sat? I have been reading and I’m confused about one thing, when you point your dish to AMC-6 does the motor need to be @ 0 or at the actual number?

What am I missing here why am I not getting any other sat?

Thanks in advance :)

So , AMC 6 is your true south ?

If so , enter all the info in the receiver menues & then have the receiver tell the motor to go to AMC 6 .

Be sure the scale on the motor - to - pole bracket is set for your latitude .

Now , go out & tweek the dish for AMC 6 .

Now , start finding sats to the east and west of AMC 6 . And re-tweeking the dish , as necessary .

I would also recommend trying a different transponder since GBN's transponder can be hard to lock sometimes.

Try: 12068 V 9755 "The Weather Channel" it is scrambled but you can use the transponder to align your dish.

The motor should be pointing true south, and not to your true south satellite, unless your true south satellite is true south? Most people aren't that lucky? So point the motor south, then do as WyrTwister says above, and it wouldn't hurt to try other TP's like qwert has suggested.
