It was mentioned in another thread, but that one ended like this:
WGN is owned by Tribune which generates/provides the EPG data; so they either leave it in as a lark or missed it .
I've noticed no change in HD with D* But E* when they went to Mpeg4 I think it looks worse then when it was MPEG 2
Is there anyone measuring th actual bitrate of HD or SD channels?
in Europe there is Linowsat, DVB PID-Lists, Bitratedatabase and VDR channels.conf
Is there a similar one in US
This is the best way to measure quality
Thks
What channels are still MPEG2?
My D* install is almost done and I'm curious what to expect.![]()
I thought Espn on 206 was Mpeg4! isn't channel 206 on the 103 satellite? All I have to say is watching ESPNewsHD, I now think the reason for ESPNHD not being that sharp is due to MPEG2, they were showing the Dallas vs Golden State highlight and you can tell how much clear the game is. Come D* move these channels to MPEG4 already

That actually a good thing then! Now the PQ will be even better when the switch occurs!Nope, it's channel 73 remapped to 206.
