Is it me or does that image loop seem to be a bit North of the site (not in view)? Can you redo tha loop with the LAT/LON toggled to ON: so we can compare it to LAT 0°00' N - LON 154°00' W Launch Site
Could be for the better - perhaps they do not want to risk a repeat of what happened to Dish Network and AMC 14 (even tho it was a totally different launch facility). If I were DirecTV right now, I'd want a thorough going-over to make sure everything goes right.
Directv also stated that the launch of D12 will give them the capacity to have up to 200 HD channels in 2009! Man I can't wait!
Isn't that the truth. Maybe some info was shared that has them checking out issues? These aren't the same launch vehicles too are they?
I thought DirecTV was going to be an on-ground spare? Where is the link to that announcement?
So will launch DirecTV 12 in 2009 and what?
Have additional licenses to use them all at once (what orbital slot) or will they be moving one bird to in-orbit spare?
Sea Launch uses the Zenit-3SL launch vehicle built by Yuzhnoye/Yuzhmash and Energia (see here). ISL uses the Proton-M built by Khrunichev State Research (link here)These aren't the same launch vehicles too are they?
SO are these boobs going to launch today?
Sorry just tired of their HDLIL Norfolk excuses. As usual, your post added SOOO MUCH to the serious discussion of the topic!
I can sympathize with your consternation about no HD LIL in Norfolk.Sorry just tired of their HDLIL Norfolk excuses.
Where did I specifically refer to the launch team?I can sympathize with your consternation about no HD LIL in Norfolk.
Was it really necessary to call the D* launch team boobs?
