voom movies is showing "little man tate". a pretty standard "american" movie. maybe this means an upgrade in content. kinda like encore or hdnet movies. older flicks that are pretty good. instead of older flicks from argentina and papua new guinea that youve never heard of. so long "world" i cant say i will miss ya

I don't consider this an upgrade in content at all. I just hope FilmFestHD absorbs some of WorldCinemaHD, but I doubt it.

I believe that D*'s sat lease is up on 9/30/08. D* was just using it for locals .

I wanted to congratulate Dish for the new HD channels, but I think I better wait until they are made available.

We hope you make these available real soon.


It would be nice if some of these others that were supposedly uplinked were made available too!

Awesome... even if the only one I want is Bravo HD, this is great news!!! Scott, is there any word on when Spike HD will come to dish? I watch a ton of Voyager and star trek, I would love for that to be HD! Any clues on that channel?

Voyager is not in HD . Sorry it is in upconverted NON stretch mode. So you get black bars unless you zoom. it. I have it on Directv in hd.

TWC HD doesn't exist yet. It launches in June.

Is AMC HD actually in existence yet or is it 100% stretch-o-vision?

NextGen is coming to SciFi soon anyway, but that show went off the air before HD existed in the real world.
