i am having trouble getting any quality reading above 1% need help

locaion fort worth tx true south sat 97w motorized system with a 90 cm dish

would having houses directly behind me to the south be part of the problem also?

Please tell us a little more... photos help too...

Was it working previously?
New tree growth?
Building changes to line of sight?
Other satellites coming in?

has not work since recieving it only been able to get 1% signal quality
no trees in Line of sight
have houses directly behind and to the left and right
only satellites coming in are dtv sats through the DTV dish no Fta sats
Have a rg6 cable run of 50ft
dish and motor are on a 3ft tripod

KUL1 SINGLE DIGITAL STANDARD Linear KU 0.4 dB LNBF
universlal no switchs
You need to set the receiver settings for standard (being as you have a standard LNB) NOT universal. Set the LO to 10750. Good luck!

after change settings in the reciever and twisting the lnb on the dish to the triangle still getting signal quality of 1% Also how do you skew the lnb

twisting the lnb will skew it. Try moving the lnb forwards or backwards and see if anything changes. Sadoun's web site has a really good write up on setting up dishes.

what receiver?

if it has blind scan, when in doubt try a blind scan. Let it scan "all" and match the channels up with lyngsat or thelist...or just ask us :)

Sounds weired...
How about this...
1) Are you able to move the dish with the motor? If Yes, we have at least a working connection between motor and receiver.
2) Is the LNB connected the right way to the motor?
3) Are you sure that the dish is pointing to an actual satellite?
4) Does connecting the lnb to the receiver without the motor make any difference in signal quality/strength?

This page may help you get aligned... Satellite Look Angles Satellite Heading Calculator Azimuth Elevation Skew Tilt LNBF Latitude and Longitude values Enter Your address, and select Your Motor from the Satellite list and Click "GO" Set Motor Latitude to Your Latitude Set proper Dish Elevation With Motor at Zero, rotate Motor and Dish as one on pole to proper Azimuth (compass reading) Enter You Long. and Lat. info for USALS motor Be sure to have a Live Transponder selected in the Receiver's Setup Menu. See "The List" tab at the top of the Web Page for Satellite / Transponder list.

i got a few transponder of E* 7@ 119( just trying to hit a satellite Sub to DTV for sat.) and got a few transponders G10 but still nothing from G25 or any other sats

Are you sure it's E*7 ? That would mean you have a Circular LNB, did you switch from the "KUL1 SINGLE DIGITAL STANDARD Linear KU 0.4 dB LNBF"
