Its now Sunday morning of Week 3.

MAC School 42, Leastleftover Syracuse 28

Mid-pack CUSA School 24, Leastleftover "champion" 3

Leastleftover Pitt struggled with a MAC bottomfeeder. UConn struggled with the worst program in America. Only USF's late score kept every Leastleftover that has played a fellow mid-major from having lost to those non BcS schools.

The phony league, exposed.

Exactly.

The ACC is in a down cycle and their play has been embarassing for a BCS Conference,no doubt.

The Big Least Conference play has been embarrassing for a Mid major Conference. The league is an absolute disgrace with their inclusion as a BCS worthy conference.

The MAC, Mountain and several other Mid Major Conferences have more talent and better teams.

Back on Topic:

Syracuse isn't just bad in your supposed 'Big Least.'

They're just awful, period. You put them in ANY conference, and they'll still be bad.

BTW, guys- I don't care what you say about the Big East- the ACC, IMO, will always be worse.

One BCS win in 11 years just doesn't cut it for me. Miami didn't do jack on offense against Florida.

The ACC is the ONLY phony league in college football.

The Big East can actually WIN their BCS game- call me when the All Cupcake Conference wins a meaningful game.

I don't know what annoys me more- the way you slurp the SEC or bash the Big East.

Sam, you are to the SEC what Beano Cook is to Notre Dame- a HOMER!

Thank you for admitting that beating Syracuse is nothing. Under the broken BcS system, going 12-0 against such like is identical to going 12-0 in a serious conference.

There are 100s of measures. All of them show five major conferences, of which the ACC is often the 5th, then a large gulf and the mid-majors, of which the Leastleftovers is sometimes the first.

The simple fact is that, as this early season has already proven, CUSA, MWC, and the Leastleftovers are about the same, and far below the True Majors.

You are killing me! I love this.

Everytime a Big Least team loses another game, I'm thinking, "What's Sam going to write this time?" :haha

They certainly are helping you make your case.

If only there was some sort of human element involved in the BCS formula, like a poll or two or something. Oh wait, there is.

Don't you mean "Leastleftovers"?

Let's review.

First there was the "Lambert Least". Not even an conference, it was just a trophy awarded by sportwriters. Penn State won it, 9 years out of 10. Three times it went undefeated againt this light schedule, and under the HUMAN system that existed at that time, was passed over because HUMAN judgement understood that it just was not the same. Finally JoPa, one of the classy-est guys in the sport, upgraded his non-conference schedule, and won a national championship.

Finally, JoPa's crew was SELECTED to move UP to the Big 10, and southern independent South Carolina was SELECTED to the SEC. Destroying what little legitimacy that eastern football had, the remnants (WVU, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, BC, and Rutgers) joined with formerly southern independents (VPI and Miami) to from the Big Least. Which Miami won every year. This was the "Big Least".

So, from among at least six applicants (it is a matter of public record that Rutgers, Syracuse and Pittsburgh also applied) BC, Miami, and VPI were SELECTED to move UP to the ACC.

So a conglomeration of teams with nothing in common other than nobody else wanted them was created. Leftovers. Three CUSA teams, which under the broken inhuman BcS system were nothing one year, but are now equal to real teams. Think of it. One year Louisville vs. Cincinnati one year is nothing. but the next year is, to the non-thinking, inhuman computer is exactly the same a Florida-Georgia the next.

The Leastleftovers.

The phony league. Nothing.

Any conference that fails to sell out its title game (All Cupcake Conference) is the only true phony league.

Sam, I understand your Big East bashing, but you need to realize; the ACC is just as bad, if not worse.

Florida State and Miami, the supposed powers of that conference, are has-beens. All that conference can brag about is Wake Forest.

Spot On Sam!

The BCS is terribly flawed with multiple problems but the inclusion of the Big Least and it's inhabitants makes it into a joke with a decidedly unfunny punch line.

Big Least should be grouped in with the rest of the Mid Majors and be without an auto invite to the BCS.

Um....but they win the BCS bowl they automatically get to go to. Why not group in the ACC with the mid majors? Maybe that way, somebody picking up what would be the former ACC auto bid would actually win with it.

Because the Single game success that the Big Least apologists tout means very little (IMO)

To me it would be the same as putting the following teams in an newly created MLB divison.

Washington Nationals
Kansas City Royals
Seattle Mariners
San Diego Padres

Have these 4 teams play 75% of their games within the divison and no matter how poorly they fare outside the divison and no matter the overall record just award them a "free pass" into the MLB playoffs.

Then have said winner play one game against another playoff team.

I don't know too many people that would be impressed in that scenario if the Nationals managed a single win against anyone.

A single BCS win 50-60 days after the regular season concludes tells me far less than watching the neverending mediocrity played out weekly in" Big Least venues" for all to avert their gaze from.
