NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

LMAO!! Al Davis will pay 55 mil for a washed up Javon walker.. Crabtree and every other wr knows this! Anyway Oakland is one of his favorite teams!!:up

I know this isnt exactly on topic, but it is a shame what has happened with Javon. I went to JCJC with him and we had many classes together. One of the hands down nicest guys on campus. I remember on day in Eng. Lit class he stood up and apologized (on his own) to the class and the teacher that he had cheated on the previous test and said that it was eating him up. Very down to earth.

A few years into the NFL and now this.
A shame.

That said, Roll Tide!

BCS Top 12

1 Texas 0.998
2 Alabama 0.949
3 Penn State 0.925
4 Oklahoma 0.827
5 USC 0.782
6 Georgia 0.770
7 Texas Tech 0.743
8 Florida 0.729
9 Oklahoma St. 0.674
10 Utah 0.669
11 Boise St. 0.636
12 OhioSt. 0.537

I don't care what they say about schedules and such- USC does not deserve to be ranked ahead of Tech!

If the season sended today the BCS bids would likely be:

Rose: Penn State/USC
Orange: So. Florida/Utah
Sugar: Florida St./Georgia
Fiesta:Oklahoma/Boise St.
Championship Game:Texas/Alabama

Left out in thecold: Ohio State, Florida, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St.

ACC Champ automatically goes to the Orange Bowl.

The only "implications" in this game was whether you guys would eliminate Penn St. from national championship consideration. "That evil school from the South" was eliminated from that consideration when they lost to USC. Way too many schools for you guys to climb over, even if you had won last night. After watching that game last night, I will say that Penn St. might not make it to the BCS championship either. If there are 3 undefeated teams at the end of the season, I'm betting Penn St. will be the odd man out.

I'm hoping at this point that they can move up enough to make a BSC bowl game ...
IF Penn State plays in the MNC game, that helps the Bucks, if they win out and take second in the Big Ten, they would go to the Rose Bowl at least, to play ..... Possibly USC, depending on what they end up doing.
I would like to see this game again with the way the D* has been playing and Pryor gaining more experience and a healthy Wells, this would be the first time that the long 40+ day time off may actually help them.

Who is the second best in the Pac Ten ?

Jimbo

First you and Bama has to go undefeated the rest of the season, one of the teams are going to lose. Penn State will be in the championship game.
As Lee Corso would say "Not so fast my friend." Michigan St has given Penn St fits over the years. That game could be trouble. Remember what happened to West Virginia last year?

I made a couple of assumptions, that Sugar and Orange would swap to prevent Georgia from facing an non-BCS school(Utah) or inferior opponent(S. Fla) 2 years in a row, the Orange is also the low man on the BCS Totem poll this year. I also assumed that the Fiesta would take Boise over Ohio State, Ohio State would bring big money into Phoenix but the national appeal with a Okla./Boise St, rematch too good to pass up.

This is also just make believe, too many weeks of football left. :D

That would not be as stunning.

Michigan State could be ranked, is a lock for a bowl game; Pitt, OTOH, was a bad team that played West Virginia like it was their BCS game.

I don't think the Orange Bowl would trade away Florida St if they won the ACC.
