got it. its still not happening. any more Ideas?
What LNBFs are you using? The superdish 105 should work for WSTV, but if you're swapping a circular & linear then maybe they are not in the exact same position on the dish. You obviously can't get echostar 129 with the 105 LNBF so it would be good to know what you're doing.

I am not swapping lnbfs, maybe I am on the wrong sat. But in the upper right hand corner of the screen is says 129 echostar. It usually only does that to show which sat I am looking at. your saying 129 echostar doesnt do linear at all right? blind scan shows some abc, fox, nbc pay channels. Using a dp lnb might be the key to finding it though if I am on the wrong sat. I will give that a try. Any more ideas? Jason

Hmm. I think you're using the Dish Pro Circular LNBF since you're getting good signal and finding the encrypted channels. Are you going through a switch? You should cable directly to the FSS LNBF and bypass any switch. The FSS would be the one on the right if you are behind the dish looking up towards the LNBF and the satellites. You might be on the middle one which is a Dish Pro Circular.

On Superdish 105 the LNBFs (from behind the dish) should be setup like this: 119, 110, 105.

If you're getting 129 via circular you need to use the FSS LNBF and move the dish 5° West.

I am dead on, checked with dp and old dishnet reciever. in my coolsat I have 90+ on both signal and quality. In my coolsat dish settings I have the option of 12 echostar or 129 IA-7/C. the IA-7/C, is that the gallaxy 27?

It may seem odd but I am using the FSS not the dp like you suspect. No switch is involved.

another oddity, When in my dish settings menu I noticed that I have no signal strength at all on the 129, Its just blank, but when I do a blind scan I come up with channels that have great signal and quality. Whats up here?

Arent I aimed at an active tp if I can blind scan channels in?
You are aimed at a Satellite that has active TP's. But in your setup menu you must choose an active (and strong) TP. Then read the Signal Quality, that SQ will help you tune the dish. Follow that with a scan and choose a weaker TP for the finale tweaking of the dish & LNB. :)

Ok, I guess you must be picking up the low transponders on circular with the linear LNBF. There are some networks on TP2 it looks like. What frequency/polarity/symbol are they scanning at?

As mentioned make sure you're using a hot transponder when trying to find quality in the setup. E.g. 11964 H 2920 with the bandstacked might be tricky.

You definitely should be able to get quality on one of the other (Starband?) TPs. For me, 12120 V 1594 is booming in at 96-98% Q. Check that TP..
I am seeing these verticals G27, any others in your TP list can be ignored or deleted for the moment:
12080 V 30000
12104 V 3249
12120 V 1594

Your TPs might be a few numbers off from these, but close enough.

12235 V 20000 96% quality

Shouldnt I see some kind of quality with these other transponders you are suggesting?

Why do I have a feeling you're not on 129?

12238 is a H transponder on Dish 119
129 DBS doesnt have an active TP that is 12238 H 20000 (12238/12234 is TP2)

are you sure you're on the correct side of the 123 LNB?

Here is an example...below pic the LEFT LNB was on 107.3 (for my Starchoice subscription)
The LNB to the RIGHT is 119

when working with multiple LNB's they go opposite their spot in the clarke belt (due to the bounce off the dish)

I got tired of messing with the two lnb/1 dish idea for the moment and took one of the fortec 30" dishes and mounted the dishnet fss linear to it. Pointed it roughly az 250, checked it with a compass. The elevation on the dish is about 29 degrees.
