Herman Edwards fired

LOL! Yes it would!

That would be like Bill Cowher going to the Browns!

I have to disagree.

When Cowher left the Steelers, it was of his own volition. So if he goes to the Steelers archrival, I could understand some Steeler fans calling him a "traitor" (although a championship under Tomlin would certainly soften the blow).

However, with Shanahan, it's a totally different set of circumstances. He was fired from his job. Why shouldn't he be able to go where ever he wants to?

Afterall, loyalty works BOTH ways.

BINGO!!!! We have a winner! :up:up:up

I agree. If Shanny went to the Chiefs it would be more of the Broncos fault and would be different than Cowher to Cleveland.

I guess I was originally speaking from a fans perspective.

Not surprised.

A 2-14 record (and they were lucky to win twice- the Lions likely would have had some company) plus a pathetic defense will do that to you.

Weren't really lucky to win twice... you know like 7 of the Chiefs losses were by a TD or less right?

Win most of the close ones and the Chiefs win that horribly weak division.

Chiefs beat Denver and Oakland last year, that's a good season for me knowing we were going into it with the youngest roster in the NFL.

4 of the Lie-on's losses were of 7 pts or less and 1 more was 8 pts ....
8 of them were losses of 10 pt's or less.... that makes them good , right ? :D

No, but it makes comparing the Chiefs and Lions laughable, the Chiefs allowed 77 fewer points and outscored them by a handful of touchdowns. Of all the teams in the division I'm glad to be a fan of the Chiefs... Raiders are much worse than their record, with the best talent in the division, the Broncos had a historic collapse leading up to the playoffs, LT showed he can't carry his team as a broken back for back to back playoff appearances... the Chiefs went into the season young and expecting to do poorly and play very well in a lot of games.

Much worse? Really? Funny the Raiders had a little stability at the end of the season and won 2 out of the last 3 and played very well considering all the chaos the front office and management was going through. I say they were doing much better than KC. You made a big issue about your close loses, but you barely got by the Raiders and you were able to expose the frauds the Broncos were. Your Chiefs were crushed by the other fraud team, the Bills and you got humiliated by a terrible Bengals team. Of all the Raiders blowout losses, only one was to a non playoff team...and they avenged that one by blowout the Broncos.

So if someone asked a who looked better going into next year, I would say most would say the Raiders.;)

Not me.

Last year, I said the Raiders will finish above .500- I'm not falling for it again!

So you expect more from the Chiefs than the Raiders next season?

Not me. I'm with Salsa and Rey on this one.

Of course, NOTHING in sports is a guarantee. BUT, just going on their rosters alone, the Raiders are in much better shape than the Chiefs.

I honestly don't know how anyone could see it otherwise.

right now to me the raiders are a better team but no one knows what the chiefs will do in free agency ,draft and coaches so we'll have to wait;)

Well.... you are just a causal observer when it comes to the Raiders. Almost every single TRUE Raider fan I know was predicting a 6-10 to 7-9 season where IF THE CARDS fell right, they MIGHT even be 8-8. NO OFFENSE, but ANYONE that picked the Raiders to go .500 or better was just trying to pull out a lucky trick out of a magic hat.;)

Next year will be alot tougher because they have a much tougher schedule.....they WILL take their lumps. But I honestly think they IF they keep Cable or stay within the system in Martindale....I honestly think they will be around 7-9 and possibly 8-8. I still think they are a few players and one dead owner away from making a serious playoff run.

No because the scores lie. The lions were almost always down by 20 plus points at the half. They only manage to pull with in 7-10 by the end of the game. They were never in more than 1 or 2 games before failing to prevent the other team from pouring on points.
