ANGELS RATED MOST FAN-FRIENDLY FRANCHISE (good alliteration!)

Let's see where some of our teams rank:

My Sabres rank #63 (A few years ago, they were #1)

HD's Cavs are #5, the Indians #67, Browns #114

Sandra- Rangers #93, Jets #103, Yankees #107

Also, the Lions are #119- not surprisingly, the worst of all NFL teams.

The biggest surprise for me is that the Carolina Hurricanes are #2, the highest-rated hockey team!

A few others:

Pittsburgh fans, good news/bad news: Good news- Steelers #3, Penguins #8. Bad news- Pirates are #94.

Salsa- Heat are #55, Marlins #77, Florida Panthers #90, Raiders #116.

The lowest, #122: The Los Angeles Clippers, closely followed by #121: The NY Knicks. That fact that the Knicks are ranked the 2nd worst franchise in all of sports might bring those people who think LeBron is coming to save their franchise next year, back down Earth. LMAO!!! :D

Wow, you just don't stop with Lebron coming to the City. Hey, it rained in NY virtually the entire month of June! No way Lebron wants to get wet! He's not coming!

Give it a break already. The Yankees are the lowest rated baseball team, but that didn't stop CC Sabathia, AJ Burnett, and Mark Texeira from signing contracts. And it doesn't stop people from flocking to the ballpark.

#121 is Isiah's gift to the people of New York. There is a new sheriff in town now, and he's taking names and numbers... ;)

I can't speak for HD MM, but I'll stop when NY Fans and Media get off their high horses and stop acting like Lebron is their birthright

Who said Lebron is New York's birthright, or even coming to New York for that matter? I didn't. I just said it's a possibility. I don't remember any of the New York media saying it's a certainty either.

This thread is dangerously steering off topic. I don't want to take away from the OP and neither should you. We really should continue this discussion in one of the NBA threads if necessary.

Great idea. The only problem is YOU brought up Lebron coming to NY in this thread because you said the Knicks are 122! Glad you want to reel that in now. ;)

As much as I think it's silly that you insert your Lebron New York obsession into everything, I do think it's fair to discuss other franchises that are on the list, not just the Angels.

No wonder your boyfriend dumped you! You can never shut up!

Kidding, kidding. Gawd I hope your thick skinned. ;)

Fair enough. KCK, OP, what do you think about this? Is it ok to discuss other teams on this list (sans the LeBron talk which can lead down a sticky, off-topic, back and forth banter)??

Your thoughts on the rankings of your respective teams?
The criteria for ranking is very subjective. I also have to question some of the standards they used.

For example, on affordability. Instead of using average price, they should have used cheapest price and the number of pricing options. When a stadium has some really high priced seating it is going to shift the mean pricing towards a higher rate. That still doesn't mean that there are cheep alternatives. Like I said with Dodger stadium, find another high market team that offers two entire sections of seating for under $8 a seat (cheaper with package purchases), yet they rank it as one of the least affordable places.

Subjectivity: How does one measure the atmosphere, friendliness, ex?

The Dodgers being in the middle is probably what I would have assumed. They could rank them higher in affordability. Of course, some sections of seating are not the most family friendly. And getting in and out of that parking lot is a nightmare (although it is nice to park at the same level of your seating).
