I did a little scanning over the weekend and found 2 channels never seen before.
At 24w- TP 4193 V 5179 got it 24/7 solid. ( mostly in french ).
At 30w- TP 12052 V 27502 ( it's in the same TP as TVE ).

I did find a couple of more at 40w, but didn't write down the info.
Maybe next weekend if I have free time will do some hunting.
Regards and enjoy.

PS The azbox will lock in the one at 24w with no problem at all, on the other hand my VS2000 even with the info. in it will not lock it in ( just headsup if you're not able to get it with a "cheapo" box ).

Is the 40.0°W find in KU or C-Band and what dish size are you using?

The channels I found are C band, 4151 V 3280 ( looking at it right now, the audio is messed up though, i get a radio signal at the same time ), the other channels I was able to lock in are all scramble, I have a 10 ft. dish.

Yes, it's tvvi.... I prefer not to give stations names, that way, hope we can enjoy watching the channels for as long they have it for FREE.

Regards.

It is always a good idea not not mention any channels on the open forums in this case "tvvi" has been on for a little while and is openly listed on LyngSat. Which I think when this is the case then it is ok so when in question always check LyngSat to see if it is listed there.:)

If possible move your dish down a little lower to NSS7 at 22W. All the sats mentioned above can be received with a 6 ft and larger dish, with a circular lnb (R & L ). The NSS7 is much stronger with channels from Brazil and Bolivia. The CNN feed(CNN Jerusalem) listed also works but seems to be showing in a 16:9 format that can be received with an AZBOX.

Rich, I don't have a problem locking in 22w and watch the channels you'd mentioned ( few of Bolivia and I think from Brazil - I can't lock in CNN though ), I reach all the way to 15w without a problem, I have a standard C/KU LNB ......let me ask you if I replace my standard C/KU LNB with a CIRCULAR lnb can a circular LNB get all the signals up there ( I'm not a satellite "pro" here...that's why I'm asking ).

Thanks.

Never thought of it

Mel.
Thanks for the tip ( did not know that ), I just go by what the box tells me and it's being a couple of months since I did some hunting.
And YES I do agree with you not to mention any new channels on the OPEN.... give me "numbers" It'll be up to the person to hunt it down....:).

Hello Granadaguy...I found out it is best to have separate C and Ku dishes with dedicated C band(3.4-4.2Ghz) Ku band(Universal 10.7-12.2ghz) lnb. However if you don't have space/on a budget, the Chaparral Corotor Plus Wideband feedhorn with a good lnb (Norsat, California Amplifier) and Ku (Norsat, etc) would be best. However most newer DVB receivers does not have skew capability, and very few like the Pansat 3500 have motor capability to drive the motor.
I use a Vbox to drive my motor on C band, and have a Powermax SG9120 to drive my Ku dish (120cm/4ft). The loop out on my Viewsat 9000 runs to a Motorola 4DTV that sets the skew when I use the C band Chaparral feedhorn.
However getting Linear and Circular signals I have been experimenting. Chaparral has a dielectric insert ($10) to receive circular signals on most of their C band feedhorn. Most other integrated lnb like the DMX741, BSC621, etc comes with a dielectric plate for circular signals , but you loose signals on linear and have to take it out.

Linear compared to circular

Hi Rich.
Thank you for putting some "light" on this linear, circular lnb stuff, now I understand a little bit better why I'm not able to get some of the signals as I just have a standard linear c/ku lnb.
Both of those birds 22w & 40w have circular polarity on all of the tp's, can you tell me how come I can get some channels on both of them ?, I shouldn't be able to get any with the lnb that I have.
Thanks for your help.
