What are your favorite rivalries that your teams are involved in?

I would say the biggest rivalry right now is Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings...I mean Old QB vs new, and two teams that both have enough tallent to go deep into playoffs.

The biggest rivalry tends to be the one that YOUR team is involved in. ;)

The Iron Bowl (Bama/Auburn). For intensity, it rivals any game played.
The Third Saturday in October(Bama/Tenn). This one has lost some luster, but it is still quite big.
The Saban Bowl (Bama/LSU). This was always a big rivalry, but bigger now that he is at Bama

And since the SEC champioship games started, Alabama vs Florida. Not to mention the last two times it has been #1 vs #2. This year should be another top 5 matchup, both games.

When did the SEC Championship game start ?

1992. It was played between...Alabama and Florida. Bama won 28-21, and eventually won the NC.

The two teams have played each other in it 7 times in that span.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for.

They have played 7 times in this game.
They are in opposite divisions, right.
Do they play a reg. season game every year as well ?

Trying to get a feeling for the Ohio State / Michigan series when they go to two divisions.

Jimbo or Cy?....

You are so arrogant, that alone makes me laugh so much when ALL your teams fail over and over and over again.

Sorry. I don't back down to anyone that pokes fun of my city or team, especially Stooler fans. Sure you can point to all your fancy rings or recent wins, but at least Clevelanders can point to their full head of teeth. :D

OK, I know Pittsburgh is south of Cleveland but we are not "in the south".

We are ABOVE the Mason-Dixon line.

More insults thrown towards the Steelers again....... sheeesh , does it ever stop.

And you wonder why

btw, a full head of teeth ?

We have hair on our heads, not teeth.
What makes you think that Pittsburgh is hillbilly town ?

No, as they are not Permanent Partners.
So they generally play every other year with the occasional 2 year gap.

SEC teams play everyone in their division along with their non-divisional perm. partner every year. They then rotate with the other 5 teams, playing 2 of them each year.

Bama has Tenn as their partner, and Fla has LSU.

No, they do not have a regular season game every year. They rotate back onto our schedule this year and next year. Our Eastern division team that is permanent on our schedule is Tenn.

Then we rotate a home and home with the other eastern division teams.
