No suspension for Browns’ Shaun Rogers

I guess tracking down that DUI driver in Cleveland helped after all. That and the fact he called both the team and the league right after he was arrested and didn’t try to hide anything. He manned up and admitted he made a mistake and from what I read was willing to take whatever punishment without crying about it.

So Plexico shoots himself and gets time, Rogers commits a federal offense and gets away with it. I have to say WTF too.
 
You can get a parking ticket and it can be a federal offense, that just means it happened on government property or involving government officials.

Plaxico faced multiple felonies I believe for discharging his unlicensed gun in public, while Shaun Rogers just had the one felony for 'accidentally' carrying his licensed firearm. Rogers made a deal to avoid the charge and agreed to 40 hours of volunteer, 10 hours of gun safety training or something and has entered a diversion program that I don't know anything about (like talking to kids in schools about gun safety).

Now if Rogers discharged his gun in the airport... there might be a comparison to be had.

And still, it wouldn't be completely accurate of a comparison.

Plaxico was unlicensed to have a conceal carry in NY.

Rodgers WAS licensed to carry in Ohio.

You are not aloud to carry a loaded firearm into a airport.
 
OK, the commissioner is a hypocrite.

Ben gets 4-6 games suspended for a offense there was no proof, they couldn't take to court and he was never found guilty of.

Rodgers takes a loaded gun into a airport, federal offense and he gets fined one game check.

Vince Young is caught on tape slapping a stripper and gets NOTHING.

WTF??????

I don't care about you guys saying he did it, no proof, innocent untill found guilty and wasn't found guilty.

Ben and Rooney are petitioning Goodell to drop it to 3 games, as Goodell has already said that Ben has done much more than what was expected of him.

However, I seriously DOUBT that he'll drop it any farther.
Thou I would be happy if he did.

IMO with what has happened with Young and Rodgers 2 games is too much for Ben.

Help me, I don't know where I can find the Steeler's game tonight.
I was able to catch the first three on various channels (NFL Network or the local stations) for the first three, but nothing that I know of for tonight.

It's showing locally here. Probably on the NFL network later on in the week.

Don't worry about the Steelers 4th Preseason Game. We have the Buckeyes on tonight! ;) :D
