Did not know him personally, but rest in peace. And for those of you who were his friend, my most sincere condolences.

It is fitting that he is being memorialized on both sites.

It is, as most of us came from DBSTalk when SatelliteGuys began and most are members of both sites... JohnH was a member who helped... this is an excerpt from a PM I got from John, it speaks for itself...
Hope you are well.

JohnH

It is fitting that as we discover the passing of our friend John, the uplink software he worked so hard with on with Digiblur has stopped running.

Digiblur has been busy with his own personal item so I don't know if we will get it fixed in time for Wednesday's uplink.

The project John was working on for us was a program that monitored the stream 24/7 without the need of an external program (tsreader) to capture the information needed.

Again thank you John for everything.

I worked closely with John for the last 13 years. I am truly and thoroughly saddened to hear this news, but unfortunately I am not surprised about his death. John had suffered two heart attacks in the time I "knew" him.

I will miss his correspondence. He was a true friend I never met in person.

My condolences to any family and "real" friends.

I had been a fan of John's work every since I got into satellites. I remember a time a few years ago when he was having some health issues and I guess that was one of the heart attacks Tony was talking about. He will be missed. John, RIP.

Sad news. JohnH you will be missed. Over the years I looked forward to your reports and posts. The information you shared with all of us, set the debate for many posts from people across the satellite web. You did make a difference in this world. May you rest in peace my friend.

I appreciated how JohnH always helped people & had interesting comments. I hope he is at peace. Prayers for r his family & loved ones.

He was a real nice guy. I didn't know he passed away until tonight. I saw it on Rick's site. He was on the original backhaul list going back to 1996 (telelist before egroups and yahoogroups) and at DBSForums in the sports section. Those are the locations where I first saw him. He sent me satellite gear from time to time. The latest being switches for my satelite setup when I moved into my house. He recently had moved from PA to KC for health reasons. I didn't know it was serious. My last email with him was on June 17th. It's a bummer. I'll miss him. He loved the Liberty, Lafayette and Lehigh feeds.

I remember him all the way back from DBSForums. I think it is fair enough to say that he is a legend. He would be happy to see that he is being remembered by so many.
