Doesn't look good considering police reported seeing signs of abuse:

AMAZING that this school did not do the proper homework. ESPECIALLY in this day in age with all of the technology easily available.

Pederson should be fired for hiring this guy. I'm not saying they should of kept Wannstedt, he couldn't win the big game and he can't recruit a good QB. Tom Bradely supposedly called three times wanting a interview and his calls were never answered by Pederson. You don't hire a MAC coach to win championships, you hire MAC coaches to keep the payroll down.

Bad fire. DW did plenty at Pitt. The Leastleftovers is become a coach killer conference. Not because its hard, but because its so easy. ADs and boosters look at the joke level of competiton and realize how easy it would be to dominate and get impatient, not realizing they are one of the cupcakes themselves. UK would have gone undefeated in this year's Leastleftovers.

Granted there are great coaches that come from the MAC but they have proven themselves before leaving to better schools. I should of made that clearer in my original post.
What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty." Now days it's "guilty until proven innocent." People seem to want to jump the gun on things like this so they can remain policitaly correct. Wait until the out come of the trail, if innocent, fine keep him, if guilty fire him. Pittsburgh dropped the ball on this one.

I agree to a certain extent, but as the old saying goes....perception is everything. In this case, where PITT may have dropped the ball is thoroughly checking his background. IF the perception is right....they look terribly inadequate for not thoroughly checking his background....IF they were wrong in the perception, they look horrible in knee-jerk reaction they have taken. No one wins in this situation.
The whole problem IMO is Pitt not doing a thorough background check, they really messed this up and the AD needs to be fired, the coach they hired deserved to be fired, only a week into the job and he gets arrested, what kind of picture does that show to the kids when he was preaching discipline and honor in his press conference. They both deserve to be fired.
If he is innocent than he'll be able to find another job somewhere.
